Italian or German Speaking Office Assistant / Walk Organiser This job is very varied and could be entitled many things: Resort Representative – Assistant Manager – Office Assistant! Whatever you call it, it is a key role and pivotal to the success of the smooth running of our resort and a friendly and efficient personality is essential. Also essential is a good working knowledge of Italian or German. Based in the village of Arabba or Corvara, it involves the following and much more: welcoming, registering and settling in new arrivals; liaison with UK Office, local suppliers, landlords, doctors etc.; booking restaurants, Rifugios or Venice hotels for guests; food and laundry ordering and management. There is also a commitment to the domestic running of the resort, helping with some of the cleaning and other domestic chores that may pop up. This is a great opportunity to practise your language skills in a friendly and supportive role, helping guests on a day to day basis get the best out of a beautiful area, whilst also enjoying the area with them every other day out in the mountains. Organised Walks – You would also provide support to the organised walking programme, normally timetabled two or three times a week to join or 'organise' a walk. The role means you would alternate between an Office-based day and an Outdoor Day. Experience Required A good level of spoken and written Italian or German and a keen interest in walking or climbing or general interest in the outdoors. You should be able to express yourself reasonably well. General efficiency and attention to detail, and the willingness to see a job through to its end are essential.
